DOWN ON THE FARM

One of our wild turkeys in the front yard this morning, and we are treated to watching the new little colt across the road each day. Fun!

LG

Life is good and has been plenty busy recently, as usual, really! The first cutting of the alfalfa hay is underway, but a bit nervous as it's supposed to rain Wed/Thurs. So, decision time...wait a few days to finish cutting, or go ahead? We'll see. Drove to a nearby town for dinner at the *Olive Garden for father's day dinner, stopping at *Fish Lake for coffee on the way home. The weather has cooled a little which is a relief to me! House remodeling is still underway, new electric fence put up to keep those little heifer's in and the neighboring bull out! Yardwork underway, new air conditioner being installed, just lots of constructive work, mixed in with some play. This past Friday night, attended a baseball game with friends, (our team won by 1 run), ate Polish hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts and sang Take Me Out to the Ballgame! Sang that song with family while in grade school at the very same stadium! Saturday we went to an old Show & Shine car show, about 200 vehicles on display and enjoyed the downtwon cruise yesterday evening. There is a new little colt across the road that is so so cute! In the evening around 7:30, it stands on it's hind legs, pawing (or would that be hoofing?!) the air, bucks, runs around shaking it's head, telling it's mom it's time to play. Then it takes off running and "mom" hangs her head and starts following...really cute! Have also done some traveling recently...on our way to Issaquah to visit family, we stopped in Portland and enjoyed the Embassy Suites in the remodeled old Multnomah Hotel...just beautiful! Visited two grandchildren and a greatgrandchild also! Went to Boise to attend events for another granddaughter's high school graduation, visiting more family and friends for several days, then met my husband in Portland so we could meet and visit with his newest little grandson and family. We'll soon be traveling to Walla Walla for a couple of events, including an outdoor play, staying with my best friend Linda and her husband. Another couple will be joining us too and we're sure looking forward to it. Also had a short visit with my 91 year old aunt recently. A couple more trips trying to be planned for this Fall. Well, lots to do and looking forward to BBQ tonight along with scrumptious potato salad, if I do say so myself! I think we're going to go see the movie Cars tomorrow night. There are some "tractor types" hanging out in fields that remind me of the first Cars movie...makes me want to honk the horn once in awhile as I envision them toppling over! ha
